DemiSoft - Nuovi masterizzatori DVD in arrivo

Negli scorsi giorni molti produttori, tra cui Asustek, LiteOn, Sony e Gigabyte, hanno lanciato nuovi modelli di masterizzatore DVD.

Il produttore taiwanese Asustek ha presentato il suo primo masterizzatore DVD Dual-Layer 16X, il modello DRW1604-P, capace di scrivere DVD±R alla velocità di 16x, DVD±RW a 4x, DVD+R DL (Dual Layer) a 4x, CD-R a 32x e CD-RW a 24x. Questo modello sarà venduto, all'utente finale, ad un prezzo pari a circa 155 dollari. LiteOn ha annunciato due nuovi masterizzatori DVD±RW, il SOHW-1613S ed il SOHW-1633S, che supporta anche il nuovo standard DVD+R9 (Dual Layer). Il SOHW-1613S scrive su DVD+R a 16x in modalità CAV, su DVD-R a 8x in modalità Z-CLV, su DVD+RW a 4x in modalità CLV, su DVD-RW a 4x in modalità CLV, su CD-R a 48x in modalità P-CAV e su CD-RW a 24x in modalità Z-CLV. Ha un tempo accesso pari a 160 ms e 2 MB di memoria buffer. Il SOHW-1633S è identico, ma in più supporta la masterizzazione nel formato DVD+R9 a 2.4x in modalità CLV. SONY ha invece lanciato due modelli, uno interno (DRU-710A) e uno esterno (DRX-710UL) con interfaccia interfaccia USB 2.0. Supportano le seguenti velocità: 16x DVD+R, 8x DVD-R, 4x DVD+/-RW, 48x CD-R e 24x CD-RW, e DVD+R Double Layer a 2.4x. Il costo è di $180 per la versione interna mentre $280 per quella esterna. Anche Gigabyte ha presentato un proprio modello, il GO-W1608A che supporta le velocità di 2.4x per i DVD+R DL e 16x per i DVD+R.
